Team GB Logo Great Britain Under-20s have taken up an invite to play in a prestigious European tournament in Elektrenai, Lithuania.

The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Alexei Cherepanov, a Russian hockey player who died after collapsing during a KHL game in Russia in October 2008.

Forward Cherepanov was a 2007 first-round NHL draft pick for New York Rangers.

Team GB Logo The full schedule for the 2014 World Championship tournaments is now known following the annual IIHF vote at Congress, which took place today (Friday) in Sweden during the top-flight World Championship tournament.

Great Britain men will travel to Kaunas in Lithuania for the World Championship (Division 1B) tournament from 20th to 26th April 2014. They will play Croatia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland and Romania.

His Flames tenure spans 170 games yielding 55 goals and 127 points.

Team GB Logo Ice Hockey UK (IHUK) are proud to announce they will host two World Championship tournaments in 2013-2014.

The Under-20 World Championship (Division 1B) will take place from 9th to 15th December 2013, with GB hosting France, Italy, Japan, Kazakstan and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Under-18 World Championship (Division 2A) will run from 24th to 30th March 2014 and GB are grouped with Croatia, Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands and Romania.
