Manchester Phoenix served the rest of the English Premier League notice on Saturday night that they cannot be discounted from the title race. Stephen Wallace and Robert Lachowicz both bagged a brace of goals on Saturday as the short-benched Phoenix rekindled their free-scoring form of earlier in the season to take a massive two points.

Manchester Phoenix have begun their team building for the 2010-11 season with the return of Club Captain Luke Boothroyd.
A very popular player with Phoenix supporters, the quietly spoken Yorkshireman becomes the first returnee from the current squad to sign for next season and player coach Tony Hand is delighted at retaining him.

Wednesday 3rd February will see the two teams come face to face on 'Cats ice, before Swindon then look to travel to the MK Lightning three days later.

Despite outshooting their opponents 52-29, the Manchester Phoenix had player coach Tony Hand to thank for the game winning goal as the Bracknell Bees twice fought back to level the scores and give the visitors some nervous moments before completing their third victory of the season in the Bracknell Hive.

The past few weeks have been very busy for the raiders. It all started a few weeks ago with the raiders manager Jesse Hammill leave the club to pursue a job back home in his native Canada, but before he went Jesse and the raiders management managed to secure the signatures of two more players to the line up.

The Manchester Phoenix visited Spectrum on Saturday night and were turned back home after suffering a 6-3 defeat at the hands of the home side Flames. The win was a precursor to another success the next evening when Spectrum’s men travelled to Romford Raiders and unloaded a 10-1 win over the Essex side.

Guildford Flames 6 – 3 Manchester Phoenix
Manchester Phoenix travelled south on Saturday for a double-header road trip with Guildford the first destination, before moving onto Bracknell for Sunday’s game, and ran into a red-hot Gary Clarke as the Flames forward helped himself to a hat-trick.
