Telford Tigers logo When Telford Tigers Ricky Plant skated off the ice after last month's play-off defeat to Guildford Flames, he made a mental note.

“I want to go more than one better next time”.

This was, of course, the very rink where he had enjoyed so much success, before making a mid-season return to Shropshire.

He says: “It was heartbreaking at the end of the game. Of course, I wished all my friends the best of luck, but as a team, we didn't want to lose. It was really hard.”

Telford Tigers logo Telford Tigers' latest signing Rupert Quiney has hailed Head Coach Tom Watkins as a key reason behind his decision to join the EPL outfit.

Quiney, 23, agreed terms on a long-term deal with the Tigers this week, following an impressive season at Cardiff Devils in the Elite League.

The move to Telford will see him continue a learning curve that has included a successful spell in Canada, as well as two seasons with Cardiff's NIHL outfit.

He was a key target for Watkins in this summer's transfer market, and had few hesitations in joining the Tigers.
