Guildford Flames logo One of the biggest off season changes for the Guildford Flames ice hockey club is who will not be on the active roster to start the 2014-2015 campaign. Long term Flames forwards Milos Melicherik and Stuart Potts will both have coaching rather than playing roles. Melicherik will now shift his focus to the Jr. outfit as his top priority, but will also maintain his assistant coaching role with the senior team, while Potts will be the full time bench coach with the senior side, serving alongside head playing coach Paul Dixon.

Telford Tigers logo Tigers Head Coach Tom Watkins believes raised expectations could carry his side to a clean-sweep of English Premier League trophies next season.

A flurry of summer signings – including GB international Jonathan Weaver and EIHL star Jason Silverthorn – have seen the club tagged as clear favourites for honours.

Hopes of a first league trophy in 26 years have also seen a surge in season ticket sales, with a 200 per cent rise in interest over previous seasons.

Watkins is, however, wary of a build-up of pressure as the new campaign approaches, and dismissed suggestions that his side could dominate the league.
