Manchester Phoenix have been swamped with season ticket applications, after phone lines were re-opened at 9am this morning.
The club postponed the process earlier this summer, after it became clear that playing out of the former ‘temporary’ rink in Altrincham was unviable
The Phoenix will spend a year based at the Olympic-sized Deeside Ice Rink, before moving to a purpose-built, 3,000-seater arena in Manchester.

Stanislav Gron was lured to The Phoenix by the prospect of playing in front of a capacity crowd in the English Premier League next season.
The 36-year-old, who was drafted by NHL side New Jersey Devils in 1997, became the Manchester club’s second import signing this week.
He joins a Phoenix side that will play out of Deeside Ice Rink next year, before it moves to a new 3,000-seater arena in Manchester.

The Phoenix will offer fans discounted ‘early bird’ season ticket prices until the start of the English Premier League campaign in September.
A move to Deeside Ice Rink for twelve months has seen the club inundated with requests for season tickets from supporters.
That temporary relocation will see The Phoenix return to Manchester in 2016, with plans for a 3,000-seater arena at an advanced stage.

NHL draft pick Stanislav Gron will be a “crucial part of the puzzle” for The Phoenix next season – that’s the prediction of Head Coach Tony Hand.
The former New Jersey Devils youngster will be an unknown quantity in the English Premier League, after agreeing to join the two-time league champions.
Gron was selected for the top tier of North American ice hockey in 1997, and eventually earned a call-up to the full NHL squad in 2001.

Phil Spanswick is looking forward to a homecoming with Manchester Phoenix in the English Premier League next season.
The Warrington-born netminder spent part of his junior career in Deeside, before moving to Canada with his family.
He returns to the north-west next season, having studied – and played – at the University of Calgary for a number of years.
