The J Davidson sponsored Manchester Phoenix is delighted to announce that Head Coach Tony Hand has agreed a new two year contract with the club.
After just completing his tenth season with the Phoenix, Tony’s long term deal underlines the club’s ambitions as they return to Manchester for the 2016/17 season.

Manchester Phoenix and Red Hockey Ltd. have agreed terms on which they will part company with immediate effect.
The agreement, whilst confidential, involves the transfer of shares at a nominal sum and Red Hockey agreeing to write off significant amounts of monies loaned to Manchester Phoenix.

Phil Hamer back with the Phoenix

The Manchester Phoenix is pleased to announce that forward Phil Hamer has re-joined the Phoenix for the rest of the season.
The 25 year old progressed through the Manchester Phoenix youth system and went onto make his debut for the club in the Elite League during the 2007-08 season. Hamer went onto make eight appearances during two seasons with the Phoenix, before moving abroad and playing ice hockey in Spain.
Phoenix sign strong Czech forward

The Manchester Phoenix has added 6’2” Czech power forward Martin Baranek to the roster for the remainder of the season.
Coach Tony Hand moved quickly to capture Baranek as the club’s fourth import player to ensure Phoenix are able to ice three full forward lines.

In 2015, Red Hockey made a substantial investment in Manchester Phoenix. This investment was a minority position which was intended to help the owners of the club stabilise its immediate position, whilst long term security was found for the club.
