Telford Tigers tightened their grip on the English Premier League title race with a hard-fought 6-2 win over Bracknell Bees on Sunday night.
Victory at Telford Ice Rink means the Tigers are now nine points clear of second-placed Milton Keynes, although the Lightning have two games in hand.
That win followed an 8-2 success in Swindon on Saturday evening, as the county men continue a gruelling run of six games in two weeks.

Tigers chief Tom Watkins said “clinical finishing” was key for his men, as they extended their lead at the top of the EPL with an 8-2 drubbing of Swindon Wildcats.
Telford raced into a 4-1 lead by the end of the first period in Swindon on Saturday night, before controlling proceedings against a lacklustre Wildcats outfit.
And with second-placed Milton Keynes losing at home to Peterborough, the county men are now seven points clear, albeit with the Lightning having a game in hand.

Tigers coach Tom Watkins branded the EPL Cup semi-final format as “ridiculous” after his side crashed out against Peterborough Phantoms – despite beating them 9-6 overall.
A breathless encounter on Sunday night saw Telford beat the visitors 7-2, giving them an aggregate victory in terms of goals, although they were eventually eliminated after penalty shots.

Tom Watkins told of his pride in the Telford Tigers squad, after watching them fall to a 4-2 defeat against Peterborough Phantoms in the EPL Cup semi-final first leg.
Wednesday night’s result means Telford must win Sunday’s return leg in Shropshire, to stand any chance of progressing to the final.
The winners of that game will play Milton Keynes Lightning for the trophy over two legs next month.
