Fone returns for second Phoenix term |

Phoenix netminder Steve Fone has his sights set fairly and squarely on a better season this coming winter, having agreed terms on a second year as the starting netminder for the Manchester Phoenix.
Rotherham-born Fone iced in 52 of 59 possible games for the Phoenix last season due to a dislocated shoulder then kept him out of the line-up for the whole of December. Fone was hurt late into a 7-4 victory over the Swindon Wildcats November 28th at a time when the club were riding high in the EPL standings.

Recent Phoenix signing forward Robert Farmer will fly out the United States in June to chase his dream of playing and a possible future career in North America.
Nineteen-year old Farmer has asked Phoenix player/coach Tony Hand for permission to attend trials with the Dubuque Fighting Saints in Iowa, and the Scot agreed to the Nottingham-born starlet taking the chance most hockey hopefuls would jump at.

The Swindon Wildcats are proud to confirm that local talent and last season's top scoring British player, Aaron Nell, has agreed terms to sign for the Elite League's Coventry Blaze organisation for the forthcoming Elite Ice Hockey Season.
Nell, 20, steps up from a two-way contract between the clubs last season to his first season as a full professional, joining former Swindon senior Russ Cowley under Coventry and Team GB Head Coach Paul Thompson.

he Guildford Flames ice hockey club have struck a deal with speedy British forward Matt Towe who will join the side from Cardiff Devils. The 22 year old spent the last three seasons with the Welsh outfit, picking up 64 points with the side, including 7 goals and 14 assists during the most recent term.

Sheffield-born defenceman Ben Morgan has become Tony Hands’ fourth summer signing as he continues his rebuild of the Phoenix playing squad in readiness for the 2010-11 English Premier League season.
Twenty-two year old Ben Morgan is a product of the Sheffield junior system having started playing aged eight and progressing right through the junior ranks including a Grand Slam season with the ENL Sheffield Spartans and four seasons in the EPL with the Scimitars.
