Team GB Logo Great Britain Women's Georgina Farman became the fourth player to reach 50 caps in last night's match against Korea in the World Championship Division 2 Group A.

The 26-year-old made her debut in the 2008 Division 3 tournament in Hungary and helped GB to promotion at her first World Championship.

Georgina Farman is pictured receiving her 50th cap from IHUK general secretary Andy French. Photo by Karl DenhamFarman, who joins Lauren Halliwell (56), Emily Turner (56) and Alice Lamb (53) on a half-century of caps, has scored three goals and 16 assists for 19 points in her GB career.

"It is very special to reach 50 caps," said Farman. "It was always something I wanted to achieve, but never thought I could achieve it.

"My first tournament was very memorable as we won gold. It was very special to experience that.

"The programme has developed over the years and got better and better.

"The way we get treated these days is very professional and I think it's great."

GB have lost their first two games to Netherlands and Korea, but Farman still believes a medal is possible in Gangneung.

"We are always looking to medal," continued Farman. "I still believe we can medal here."

GB have no action today but return to action tomorrow against DPR Korea at 4:30pm (8:30am UK time).
